The boo-box- A Free Affiliate Marketing Tool
I am really excited about the new tool I’m going to be using here on Time To Budget. It’s called a boo-box and I am really excited about the income possibility. Like with all new tools I experiment with on my blogs, I don’t really know if it will work the way I hope but I am willing to try.
With a boo-box you can link a keyword like Dave Ramsey to your Amazon or Ebay account. When someone clicks on the link it opens up a box with images and prices of items related to the keyword selected. If someone decides to purchase an item through the boo-box then you get the commission you normally would through your Amazon or Ebay affiliate program.
You get your normal affiliate earnings when someone makes a purchase. boo-box does not take a commission or charge to use the plugin. Yes, it’s totally free (remember my earlier post about being cheap)!
The plugin is very easy activate and setup. All you have to do is include your Amazon or Ebay affiliate ID on the options page (Wordpress) and then include the html code in your post you include a span tag. You also need to enter a code in the header of your blog template. You can also attach the boo-box to an image.
I think the only blog software this plugin supports is Wordpress, Blogger and b2evolution. Don’t quote me on that though, it may support other blog software.
So I am going to experiment with the boo-box and see if I can increase my affiliate marketing income.

I think I get what you are saying and corrected the info. I called it an html code when you mean for me to call it a span tag? Is that right? Thanks for commenting! And thanks for creating a really cool plugin.

Another great idea for using our affiliate links. Hopefully this boo-box will work. I’ve tried to add the Amazon plugin to my wordpress blog & it can’t upload the file & won’t work. I know Amazon changed some of their codes but I have the latest plug in.

I haven’t seen the Amazon plugin. I really like this boo-box though. It’s very easy to use and gives people a few options to view when the box comes up. The keyword I used for the Dave Ramsey link was dave ramsey so all dave ramsey related items come up. I plan on using it in as many posts as I can.
