There is a certain feeling that comes with owning something. This feeling does not come when you have 90 days same as cash, or ‘no payments’ until 2008. Consumers are being fed the lie that says using credit cards to buy something means the same as owning something outright. The television ads expect it, your neighbors encourage it and even your Mama borrows money. So what’s the problem? Read more

Online Passive Income Dreams - Goals All Bloggers Should Have.

If you are not familiar with the term online passive income you need to get yourself familiar. Online Passive income is a wonderful thing that happens when one has web site or blog that has bookmark worthy and subscriber worthy content. Online passive income does not happen for everyone because it is related to the amount of visitors reaching your site as well as placement of advertisements. This type of passive income doesn’t require begging or trickery. A blogger that has content that is useful and valuable usually does very will with passive income.

To be specific online passive income is Adsnese ads and other PPC ads that are clicked on, purchases made through affiliate links and Text Link Ads purchased (to name a few). The more I make passive income the more I love it. This is not to say that work is not involved but instead of having to work to be paid you will work and earn money in your sleep. I love the way that sounds, “Earn money while I sleep”. Read more

Organization Skills Can Help Your Budget

I have never been a very organized person. Most things in my house are in no particular order and I usually waist time looking for things. So why am I tell others about organizing skills? Well, I guess I am what you call and example of what not to do. I recognize my need for organization and am attempting to work on it everyday.

Last Christmas I was given a day planner that is small enough to fit in my purse. So I made it one of my goals this year to use the day planner as much as I could. Well, so far I have been doing much better with organization. It is easier to have your thoughts in order if you are organized. I believe budgeting your time is just as important as budgeting your money. If we don’t think ahead and plan we end up spending money or waisting money because of lack of organization. Read more

Financial Freedom -Some Things Are Hard to Give Up

I have mention before on this blog that I have horses, right? Well, we do. We have two horses that I love dearly. My passion for horses has inspired me to start my Horse Approved blog. If you don’t have horses you may not realize how expensive they can be. Owning horses in CA is probably one of the most expensive places with the hay prices as high as they are here. So why is some like me, who is devoted to getting out of debt and gaining financial freedom spending money expensive horses?

Dave Ramsey makes it clear that we have to “live like no one else so later we can live like no one else” but we are also given the freedom to decide for ourselves what we will give up. I like that Dave Ramsey’s financial advice allows each person to make choices for their lives instead of giving us all a blanket answer to every situation. If one is willing to make sacrifices in one area to keep something else then that is their choice. Read more

Kontera now on Time To Budget - ContentLinks now available to low traffic sites

In case you haven’t noticed I now have ContentLinks (Kontera) on this blog. Normally a site would need to have high traffic to have Kontera’s ContentLinks.  Fortunately I was over at John Chow dot com and he announced that there is now a partnership between Kontera and himself. Now if you enter “John Chow Kontera partnership” in the comments field you will be allowed to have Kontera on your site even if you don’t meet their normal requirements.

I am in the testing phase now to see if it will work out with this site. I am not really happy about the links appearing in every part of my blog like the header and sidebar. I am looking into making the links appear in the blog post only.

So how do I make money with Kontera’s ContentLinks?

The ContentLink™ ads displayed on content pages are cost-per-click (CPC) ads. This means that advertisers pay only when users click on their ad. You will receive a portion of the amount paid for clicks on ContentLink™ ads on your website. We´ll send you a check in US dollars for your account balance within 30 days after the end of each calendar month that ContentLink™ ads are running on your site.
