If Only I… – A phrase that should no longer be said.
‘If only I had a million dollars’. ‘If only I had not gotten myself into debt’. ‘If only I had the right job’. These are all statements that start with If only. ‘If only’ can be a very damaging couple of words if said to often. If only sets you back in time to the mistakes you made and wish you could change but who has ever change there circumstances with ‘If only’. I could of, I should of and I would have are also in this same family of damaging words.
Instead of dwelling on what we ‘could have’ done why not start from where you are and improve tomorrow. We do have control over the choices we make. We can choose to be foolish and continue on our road on the destructive debt path. Or we can choose to change and get a handle on our spending and stop borrowing money. Only those people who are truly in a place of seeking change will understand what I am saying and decided to change. Only those that are just sick of making the same mistakes and are able to get past the ‘if only’.
Is it really surprising that God would not give money to those who don’t handle it correctly. I often think about that. Yes, there are those who are wealth and don’t handle it correctly. But as we have seen time and time again in the media those individuals eventually loose all of their money. I think it was Dave Ramsey who said “Money is currency, it flows from the people who don’t care for it to those that do”. If only tomorrow you will get control and change the way you handle your money.
A good place to start changing the way you handle your money is to create a budget.

Money does not just come to you; you have to make it come to you. Budgeting is a good start, but make the effort to go forward. Here’s personal finance software which might be helpful to everyone. Check it out http://www.parcusgroup.com/index.html
