Who Needs Vacations Anyway?
Who needs vacations? Is it really important to take yourself away from the day to day humdrum, the pressures of work and other responsibilities? EVERYONE needs some kind of vacation! And YES it is important to get a way for a while to refocus.
As you may know I have just come home from vacation and can now offer you insight to why I think it is important to vacation. I honestly believe God designed our bodies for rest. Without rest our bodies grow tired and wear down quickly. A vacation, whether it is a few days or a few weeks gives your mind and body to ability to renew.
Some of you may be thinking ” A vacation is not in the budget”. This type of thinking is what I felt as well but now more than ever I believe a vacation should be a requirement to all those that are seeking to gain financial freedom. You might think I am a little crazy by making a statement like this but I believe it to be true.
What is a vacation anyway? Is it a two week trip to the Hawaii, Europe or an Alaskan cruise? Does vacationing require a lot of money? In my opinion a vacation does not have to cost a lot of money. In fact if you haven’t budgeted for it is shouldn’t cost a lot of money.
Though I believe it is important to get away for at least a couple of days, a vacation is more a state of mind than a period of time. Being able to let go of the stresses of home life and work should be the goal of any vacation.
So if you haven’t taken time for yourself and family think of ways you can do it without getting off your financial freedom track.

BlogRoll Friday – Pro Money Blog
I started a BlogRoll Friday over at iwebis and thought I would do the same here. I enjoying searching the net for blogs that are useful and interesting. I especially like finding ones that are new or unheard of. So every Friday I will be feature a blog related to personal finances that I think every should know about. I consider these blogs “Linky Worthy”. These featured blogs will also be added to Time To Budget’s personal finance blogroll.
Pro Money Blog is our first featured blog. As some of you know I have talked about blog design a lot on this blog as well as on iwebis. Though many may not realize it, blog design does matter. Pro Money Blog’s design and layout is excellent. Dennis, the author of Pro Money Blog offers a clean, user friendly theme. Navigation is easy and ads are strategic yet not intrusive. Even better, the blog theme is a modified version of the BloggingPro theme. In my opinion Dennis’ version of this theme is much better than the original. This just shows you with the right free blog theme and a little imagination you can create one that fits your needs without spending money.
As far as the content goes, Dennis a recent graduate of the University of Florida has know problem creating interesting and quality content. Pro Money Blog is rather young but I can see the direction Dennis is going and think it will be great. I would encourage you to visit Dennis’ Goals page. I am encouraged by people that set goals and take steps to achieve them.

Why is it important to have life insurance?
Why is it important to have life insurance ? The plan simple fact is that one day you will die. You will either leave your family with a money or you won’t. A life insurance policy can relieve your family of financial stress during the difficult time. Those of us still struggling to keep on the road toward financial freedom will put our families in an even worse situation if we don’t have plan ahead. A life insurance policy will not replace you but it is a gift your can leave behind for your family.
Dave Ramsey recommends term life insurance policies because they offer the most money after death as well as the lowest monthly payments. Dave Ramsey also recommends a 20 or 30 year term. If you have “savings plan” type policy (Universal Life, etc) cash it in and get a Term Life policy. Life insurance policies are not a good savings plan.
You might be thinking, what happens after the twenty or thirty years? The idea behind using a term life insurance policy verses other types is that with in the 20 or 30 years you should be gaining financial freedom. You should be out of debt, have a retirement plan, house paid off and gaining monetary wealth by long term investing.
Visit lifeinsure.com for quote on term life insurance policies. LifeInsure.com offers an easy to use life insurance quotes calculator. Finally Going On Vacation!!!
We are finally going on vacation. It’s been two years since we had a vacation. The main reason we have not gone on vacation sooner is because of our financial situation. We just could not afford a vacation and if it weren’t for the fact most of this vacation is free we wouldn’t be going this year either.
I don’t know how many posts I have written in the past two years about “vacation dreams”. I didn’t think it was going to be possible to go on vacation any time soon. It really seems hard to believe that we will ever get out of this financial mess. Some days are harder than others. Some days I can see an end and other days I can’t.
Though things are much better than they were a few years ago we still have a long way to go. Even though it gets hard at times I still have to believe that as long as we continue to take actions steps to change behavior and continue to take steps forward we will succeed with our goal of gaining financial freedom.
So this vacation I am going to enjoy myself because I am not sure when another will come along. I hope to get some posts pre-written and published them throughout the next two weeks but if I don’t please understand that I am on a much needed vacation.
