Building An Emergency Fund – Again!

An emergency fund one of the most important parts of gaining financial freedom. Keeping the temptation of credit card use (or other forms of debt) when an emergency occurs is very important. Without an emergency fund we often feel hopeless and helpless when we are faced with the unexpected, expected emergency.

I am a firm believer in having an emergency fund but sometimes it’s hard to keep re-funding it. I have had an emergency fund a few times now and when that emergency came a long we used that fund. It feels so good to have that fund available but when you have to build it back up it does get discouraging.

Though I am discouraged at times it is important to keep focus. If we loose focus our journey towards financial freedom with fade away. But keeping the focus we need to succeed will be difficult but worth it.

Dave say’s – Have a $1,000 emergency fund available until you have paid off debt (besides the house). Then your fund should be at least 3-6 months of expenses.
